Les Chevilloux
Surrounded by sunflower fields near Rochefoucald and Angoulême, Les Chevilloux is a beautiful, wisteria clad, traditional, Charentais farmhouse with 2 charming, stand alone, holiday gîtes. The complex is believed to have been built in the early 1800’s
Both gîtes enjoy their own front door and private patio area in which to dine “al fresco”. They are fully equipped with all that you will need for a fabulous self catering holiday. There is also plenty of parking on site.
Our 10m x 5m swimming pool is always popular with all guests and you are welcome to wander through the 1.5 acres of well kept gardens where you will find many seating areas in which to enjoy the quieter moments, if you feeling more energetic there is a large paddock for fun and games with the children.

Fresh eggs are available from our free range hens. Home grown veg and fruit from the potager (when available)
Our pool, which is shared by all our guests, is 10m x 5m and has a shallow end of 1.2m and a deep end 2.2m. It is lit in the evening for anyone wishing to enjoy a cool dip. Loungers and cushions are available for all. Pool towels are provided, if requested.

Local Area
Agris is a small commune of mainly old stone built houses which boasts a
library, Post Office, Church and a bar/restaurant called Le Relais d’Agris
run by Jerome. This is 2-minute walk from Les Chevilloux and it is open for
lunch and beverages most days.
The beautiful Forêt de la Braconne is also a short stroll or ride from your gîte,
the whole area is ideal for cycling due to the low volume of traffic...
Gary and Sue are both retired entrepreneurs who have run their own businesses.
Not ready to ‘get old’ yet they decided to follow a dream and try a life in the sun. Having fallen in love with Les Chevilloux at first site they decided to buy it and keep it running as s Gîte complex. Much labour and love has gone into making it what it is today.
